SwRI is pleased to present a webinar on Propagating Uncertainties. This is the second webinar in a series on probabilistic methods for uncertainty quantification in engineering applications.
One of the main objectives with uncertainty quantification is to evaluate how uncertainties and variations associated with inputs to a model propagate through that model and lead to uncertainty in the output. This webinar will provide an overview of the methods that are most commonly used in engineering analysis and design for real-world problems. We will start with straightforward sampling techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, and then we will introduce some of the alternatives that are used when more computational efficiency is required..
